Director: Pedro Almodovar
Synopsis
Robert Ledgard (played by Antonio Banderas) has genetically engineered a new type of skin – but instead of focusing on its good uses (being resistant to fire and malaria-infested mosquito bites) he uses his ‘art’ to build a memory to his wife.
The Verdict
If you love Almodovar, you’ll love this. It has all his usual interesting characters, twists and unexpected plot lines and while rooting for the good guys you also find yourself empathising with the ‘bad’ guy too.
As jy lief is vir Almodovar, sal jy lief is.
